The drive from Boston to Hawkins could be summed up in one word: long. Nancy felt like she had been driving for days, weeks even. The only thing making it semi bearable was that she wasn’t alone. Robin was sitting next to her talking a mile a minute like she often did. It was comforting.

“Nance? You should stop somewhere, get some rest for a bit,” Robin said. Her head was leaning against the head rest, turned toward Nancy.

“No, I’m fine. I want to get to Hawkins before morning.” Nancy wished she could have contained her yawn. Perhaps then Robin would have actually believed her.

OR

Nancy and Robin drive to Hawkins from Boston. When Robin forces them to stop at her dead grandparents' cabin, they get snowed in. The basic Christmas romcom with magical food appearing and a little bit of crying, but lots of comfort.
