I've been garbage at self- promotion so here is my fic from the Gelphie Big Bang.

It’s sort of a Pitch Perfect AU but mostly just a performing arts school AU with lots of lesbian yearning, magic, and acapella singing.

fanfiction is a rare gem and a solid, living proof that, in a world of tiktok, influencers and content posting, not everything is about money and going viral. art can still be art just for the sake of the artists’ pure love, joy and passion for the art they create. fanfic writers write 100k words and more about the characters they love for free. just because they love these characters and the art of writing so much. art is not dead and the world is still beautiful.

Have you watched Wicked for Good? Thoughts?

I have watched it!! And Oz, do I have thoughts. Probably way too many to put as an answer to your question. But I shall share some.

Some spoilers under the cut

The acting of this movie was absolute perfection. Ari and Cynthia just really are Glinda and Elphaba and every emotional jab hits like a knife in the chest. But I also want to give some attention to the others. Jonathan Bailey in the scene where he holds a gun to Glinda's head specifically. Michelle Yeoh, I mean, do I really need to say anything, it's Michelle Yeoh. Jeff Goldblum during Wonderful! Marissa Bode just her performance! I thought she did great.

Other thoughts, let me think. I thought the movie was pretty gay, could have been gayer. My girls should have kissed after singing For Good but then again, we did get the door scene which tore my heart out but they said 'I love you' to each other.

There is not a single moment where I believe Elphaba is romantically in love with Fiyero. I feel like she cares for him. I feel like she platonically loves him. I do not believe she is romantically in love with him. There are only two things on her mind throughout the movie: saving the Animals and Glinda. And yes, I could go into depth on how As Long As You're Mine is not a love song between the two and instead cements the one sided love but that is for another day.

The choice to not show Dorothy's face actually turned out to be a really good one. The work with the shadows! I could write a dissertation on that.

But mostly, my girls. My girls. Glinda and Elphaba, Elphaba and Glinde, darlings, you are in love. And I am in love with your love. Like Glinda during Wonderful, just trying to get the love of her life to stay. Elphaba visiting her the night of her wedding. The looks, the hugs, all of For Good. Damn, those two wanted to kiss.

I have so many ideas to undoom them, so stay tuned for some fics if you are interested.

Could I explain the actual rules of how they’re used? Absolutely not.

Do I rely on sensing a tremor in the force to tell me where to use them? Yes and this has never failed me even once.
