Not to be depressing on main but

It’s been so long since I cried over something. But now two pets that I’ve loved are just... gone. Went in to check up on something or other, and found out that completely undetectable issues were going to kill them sooner or later, plus suffering.

They were both so young. Valentine was a five-year-old bull mastiff, still as happy as a pup. Ripley was (is..? it feels rude to speak of her in the past tense, though the vet says there’s almost no chance of her surviving..) only two.

The world feels cruel, on this week of 2019. Cold, and cruel.
