Trying to remember some of the stuff I talked about in the past.
Yeah I was pretty out of it while writing those. I do still stand by a lot of it though in a way???
Oh wow. Okay, today I will be re-talking about. Why I don't like the Ocelots(the first original one) mostly uh.. Aiden. Yeah. Why I don't like Aiden, why I believe they weren't really (good) friends with Lukas. Also works as a why I don't like the Aidkas exes thing ig?
Yes I know. They're supposed to be a rival group of builders, and Lukas mentions they're friends. But just because he said they're friends, doesn't mean they're good friends. Nor, does being a team automatically make you good friends. Also it could just be a small friendship. Like the people you know you can go talk to at school but you also know they're not gonna talk to you the moment you go to next grade and end up in different classes. Friendship. But not that deep for it to be serious.
It's shallow.
My take on the Ocelots were always more... teammates that became friends(?) rather than friends that formed a team.
Here are my reasons. First off they try so hard to be seen as a team. Let's go more into detail about this.
1, they have a team name.
Now you may think, they're a team. They need to participate in a contest. Of course they have a team name?! Yes.. but.. also I think no. It's not necessary for them to have a team name.
If we were asked a team name to submit and as the treehouse gang clearly stated "we are not ready for this" and we come up with a name from scratch... on the spot.. name's weren't necessary before. It's a new rule. But, the Ocelots already have an established name from.. a while since we already knew about it(we have already been noticing them as Lukas and the Ocelots).
So why did they already have a name? Yeah, it could have been a name for their friend group. But that's not the thing I'm trying to prove here am I
Also, friend group name randomly being Ocelots?? Either all four of them are absolutely obsessed with Ocelots, or they made a bet and Lukas won.
2, they got matching jackets and everything!
3, they have a handshake ready!
Seems like a normal friend group activity. Isn't too weird for a team to do this, right?
But...
That's exactly where I feel it's weird. Despite them not being especially close(in my opinion), they're acting like they're besties for life.
Or a branded team of workers.
So you might question.. if they aren't in a friend group, then why do they do this?
To feel like a team. They need a brand to keep themselves united. Inside the group. Work as a team. Not fall apart.
They're here to win the contest. To do that, they need to be a good team.
When we're making the slime block, we hear Axel and Lukas have a whole conversation about how the treehouse gang seems so friendly with each other and how good of a team they make. And as if it wasn't obvious enough, Axel teases Lukas saying "Oh you're totally jealous" to really rub it in and show us, yeah. He wasn't really happy with his team. It wasn't working very well. Lukas is implying here that they don't have much teamwork or harmony. Unless you're a really toxic group of friends, you should have some harmony and teamwork within a group. Especially since they're in the same building team.
So maybe, maybe! Again, this is just my thought and headcannon. They have the team name and handshake and all that because of the need to stay a team. It's like a roll call for,
"Okay guys, remember. We are a team. Got it? We gotta work together"
Second point is that, they don't seem that sad to be split, other than "I am mad" or "This sucks". It's more like oh.. that's too bad rather than NOOOOOO MY FRIENDSS
I've seen many people go on about Aiden saying, he is struggling with Lukas hanging out with other people. Which was the last straw for him. I can see it. I understand that. But if that was the case, wouldn't he try to get him back?
Okay, if not that(since psychology is hard). After the whole sky city incident, shouldn't we get some sequence for the two? Lukas didn't get to do anything with his old team in that episode. All there was is the fight scene between Lukas and Aiden. Even during that it felt like Aiden was on the line of wanting to prove he's better. Yes, that can be seen as a similar thing for the popular opinion. Maybe I'm just a pessimistic person, but I took it as a bad thing. Idk maybe a line to imply Aiden wants to lure Lukas back would've been cool. But nope. Just mean comments.
If they were that important to each other, would they have not tried to get back to a friend state? Why didn't Lukas even try to talk through to Aiden? Just straight to punch his guts mode? Even when Lukas tells us about his encounter with Aiden and the Blazerods at the beginning of the episode, does he sound like he's particularly sad? Would he have not taken more time to grieve the loss of friendship? Sure he could've just left out the details. But if that's the case, we really can't say anything about it in a game like this at all, so. Putting that out.
Aiden doesn't really seem that sad about pushing Lukas out either? Idk might just be me. But Lukas really seems more pissed that they took his team(maybe it was his idea for names and designs and stuff) than the fact they were no longer a team. And more worried about the results of them throwing their weight around rather than worried for them.
Third and last reason I can think of, well... more like small clips and scenes I want to point out I guess?
All that aside. I feel like if any of Aiden's unused voicelines were in the game, I would've let this whole theory pass and said. Yeah, wasn't the healthiest relationship. But they were pretty close.
We have the slimeblock thing I talked about. And before that, Lukas was waiting outside on his own without his team. Why? It doesn't matter if they win or lose. Aiden, Maya and Gill had tickets to go watch Gabriel. But Lukas didn't. Or he did, and was... waiting outside for them to come not realizing they were inside already? Like what do you mean he was outside waiting for his "friends" to come but they weren't there waiting for him or didn't get enough tickets as a group in the first place? And I know there's a deleted line that (maybe)implies for this scene, Aiden asking Jesse if they've seen Lukas and they were meant to meet up. But that's an unused line. So I won't count those in as canon.
Then there's the whole thing with Lukas not really thinking about the ocelots during the witherstorm arc. Only in episode 4 when Petra or Gabriel point out his jacket does he realize oh... shit them. Sure, a lit of chaos going on. But if they're your friends, couldn't you have mentioned them once during the three episodes prior to this?
Ughh i don't know if I wrote anything more down in my original post but.. this is all I can remember
I mean. It's a theory. A headcanon. Nothings wrong or right... they did seem a bit random though before lol. Hey, I fixed(?) it now. So all is good :]
Don't take any of this too seriously guys. Really. Thanks, bye
