We dropped this visual on #2pac bday 6/16 almost a decade ago Spirit of the message in #ITAINTEZ is in Tribute to #TupacShakur deep topics & Black Pride, Pain & Heartfelt subject matter which we were living through in my hometown #Oakland where he stated he got "The Game" from! My mom & uncles were also involved w #TheBlackPanthers &Before #Juice my Aunt Geri Rip & Cousin @biggmann916 lived in the Jungle (Marin City) & were friends w #Pac & #AfeniShakur Rip!I was just a young knucklehead MC when he was in the Bay Area doing his thing w #DigitalUnderground Rip big homie @therealshockg It was normal to see him around! Everything in this Video is real or based on reality (everyday , hustle, struggle we face from racism to poverty) but the fight continues. There is a storyline that connects to #MrNETW3RK theme but its based on real situations. I told him lets make something timeless & powerful! Many amazing people came together to create this @SanQuinn415 @KeyannaCelina to name a few Song/Video went from the hood to the schools, to protests to @whitehouse fast! @barackobama staff felt it & it touched alot of people the way Hip Hop should! #Makaveli def made me look at connections in Hip Hop, Politics ,The Streets & The Movement. Its was highly motivational and theraputic for us from the ghetto.
