excerpt from a book I hope to write

She wanted to experience life, do something fun, something crazy, something she could tell stories to her kids about. Her life was like a book, not an exciting one with drama, romance and action. More like a dictionary, where everything was exactly where it should be and no one had any interest in reading, unless they were in need of help. 17 years of her life had gone by yet she had nothing to show for it, nothing to prove that she had actually lived. What’s wrong with getting into a little trouble here and there for the sake of living? To her, it meant a lot more to have silly stories to tell her kids about how reckless and stupid she was as a kid than to live a boring life and be able to say she never once made a bad decision.
