I was really confused who you were so I went to your blog since it didn’t look sus or anything and... the amount of people being like “:(( you made me uncomfortable because you sent me a picture and I don’t know you :(( stopppp”
My guy
you can literally just... choose to not unblur the picture.
Some of y’all need to grow up if you’re gonna be online like, you’re calling Stranger Danger over a random person sending you a picture of plants... because you were anxious about tumblr’s automatic image submission blur...
you can literally turn off the ability to include media in asks in your settings
You can turn off asks
This person isn’t even on anon, they are literally a wholeass blog with a sandshrew for an icon just go look at their blog what
Why are you getting mad at someone interacting with you in a neutral way on the internet?
Why are you getting upset about someone using the website, as intended, in a harmless manner???
I don’t usually say this but I think it really warrants it. Please go outside.
It costs zero dollars to delete an ask that makes you uncomfortable in any way. This random person on the internet is not holding you at gunpoint making you unblur the mysterious image they sent. You can literally choose not to look at it. You can literally delete it.
If you want a stranger to not send you anymore images because simply receiving one makes you nervous or anxious, 1) go to your settings and turn off media in asks; 2) block the stranger who sent you an image if it’s that much of a concern
“Ghost, it’s just people being anxious, why is this bothering you so much?”
Because it’s not about the anxiety. It’s not a crime to be anxious about something unfamiliar or that you don’t like. The problem I have with this is that it’s a symptom of something bigger: people refusing to take accountability for their own experiences online because they would rather foist the blame off on the people around them. You have the tools to prevent your own discomfort. Use them. Don’t just ignore them and then make guilt-trippy responses to people who haven’t done anything wrong. It is not this random stranger’s job to coddle you from the mere possibility of discomfort. It is not a random stranger’s job to never talk to anyone online ever again for fear of upsetting them.
Jesus, you would think they were sent hardcore porn or something it’s fucking ridiculous
They’re plants. It’s literally a cute thing, they are literally just sending cute pictures to people. That’s wholesome - what the fuck do you want from people??
