super late but also for the akhi thing: i see people write things like “You’re my akhi” or “That’s his akhi” a lot in batfamily fics and while my Arabic is not the best, still learning and all that, doesn’t akhi. Have “my” in it? Like isn’t it Akh (brother) + -i (my)? Why would he say ‘You’re my my brother’ or ‘That’s his my brother’?

super late reply but YES exactly you dont say 'mine' 'yours' and 'his' you like change the noun or verb so its like your car, his car and my car all sound a little bit different, so my brother, your brother and his brother sound differ

akhi = my brother

akhou= his brother

akhwa= theyre brothers

so on like its just weird

Tbh a random reasoning I have for why I feel like Gaster & the Forgotten Man are different characters is because the Forgotten Man seems VERY tied to Kris and Kris's past, mostly addressing Kris alone, whereas Gaster seems mostly invested in The Player. Sure, he calls Kris "very very wonderful" but like. Any time we've seen him, it's been when he's directly addressing us. He's interested in the player above all else, not so much Kris.

earlier today, while i was working as the cashier (? i think that's the right word), i talked with two customers who work for the same store but at a different location, mostly about the new cash register system & me just starting out in this profession. and when they walked away i overheard one of them say to the other one 'sie ist 'ne süße, nicht wahr?', which translates to, 'she's a cute one, right?'. & i could have cried out out of happiness
