STRAUSS HIVE RISE....augsburger panther legend strauss mann was my favorite goalie prospect in san jose who flamed out in north america due to san jose can't develop for shit and the ahl broadly is kind of a tar pit if you're not a top prospect or you don't have the ability/willingness to put up with extreme bullshit or you don't land in an org that invests in its ahl team (many such cases)...if they are your local team, i am sure you know more than me about the hockey side of it and prob were watching strauss go on his little adventures every week
But MY tl;dr is him and alex oblinger, whose name i just realized i have been spelling wrong for months, had a sweet little romance, of which i saved basically no IG stories because i am FOOL. they were posting adorable stories of alex cooking for strauss (<- noted sparkling eating disorder haver, so this is meaningful)(i can reclaim) and i think a couple of strauss hanging out with the AEV kids, of which alex's daughter is one.....then alex retired and strauss went to the shl, but alex visited him in new york this summer because?? They're in love i guess. And now Alex regularly reposts stories from Strauss's SHL team about Strauss, esp when he went on that insane heater earlier this season. and now the romantic Northern Lights photo......which could mean nothing 🤔
I try really hard not to be one of the Canadian/US hockey fans who can't see past the NHL but that does mean i am often relying google translate to understand random ships i have acquired 😭😭
