Loss

So a little personal update about me...

Today I lost my Grandma. She's been slowly declining for a while. She was 90 and dealing with a closing heart valve and vascular dementia.

Yes, she lived a long full life with family surrounding her, and she is no longer suffering, but it still sucks.

In January we lost my father in law to Pulmonary Fibrosis.. he was only 64. He was diagnosed last year and given 3-5 years to live. He managed a year.

In April, I lost my other Grandmother. Gramma. She was 87 and the fiery heart of our family. A true Matriarch. She had a stroke in November and just couldn't recover. At 87 years old, she was running circles around me, always the life of the party.

This year sucks. The pandemic sucks.

Three lives gone from my family in the last seven months. Its hard. My mind is still numb.

Loss is never easy, even when they're 90 and you know it's coming.

I'll be around or something...
