Konzen had no idea his life would take a complete 180-degree turn in the span of a few hours. The moment he was declared guardian of this unpredictable brown-haired comet, he’d been dragged near the end of his wits. Legs worn from running around, throat dry from having to constantly yell at the speedy little demon - it took every single ounce of Konzen’s self-control not to tie him up and throw him back at Kazeon Bosatsu’s face, protocol be damned.
"It’s beautiful! Just like the sun!”
Nothing but a frivolous compliment.
And yet, Konzen can not help but remember those words every time he finds the urge to just leave the tiny hellion alone. It wasn’t like he was desperate for attention or compliments but... there was something moving about the way this kid spoke to him. Almost like those golden eyes could see right through his cold hard shell, find something - someone - worth treasuring.
“...Tch. How ridiculous.”
Konzen watched the kid sleeping like a solid lump on his own small bed. He looked annoyingly adorable, almost like he hadn’t been running around and destroying everything he touched.
The blond sighs, turning away from the sight... but not before throwing another pillow at the monkey’s head in a (futile) attempt to muffle his snoring.
He’ll deal with this in the morning.
