Close to high tide here during our first big autumn storm. Tides rarely get within 18 inches of the top of our pier so six inches OVER the pier is 2 feet of additional tide. . We are lucky that our house sits high and dry above this point. And we are blessed to be served by @eastonutilities so we have almost zero fear of losing power for more than a brief time (srsly. I know it’s weird to say I love my local publicly owned utility, but I sure do 😍😍🥰🥰) . I hope y’all are nice and cozy for this Halloween weekend. Most things have gotten canceled for tonight and tomorrow because of the flooding risks. But Halloween looks to be dry. Fingers crossed. .
