          She stares at him for a long while, not quite sure what to make of him.  But of course, she can’t keep quiet for very long and--after deciding the most tactful way to inquire as to what he is, she blurts out--

“     Are you a nice manta?” He certainly looks nice enough, but she’s learned by now that looks can be deceiving.  Just like the Evil Manta had been.  

“Because the last one I met was actually called the Evil Manta, and he wasn’t very nice.”
