Not anon, but how do you write such beautiful words and sentences? I feel like the "I can count to potato" meme.

Look I’m 33 and I have a doctorate, I have practiced and practiced and practiced writing on a professional scale. Like Bob Ross with painting, I maintain that practice is a key part of writing lucid prose.  Also I bust my buns and concentrate REALLY hard to write what I do >A> that’s why I am as slow as molasses with replies sometimes, and as a rule I never want to have more than 15 drafts before I close my inbox until they’re all queued.  Also I have loved writing, just ENJOYED it genuinely, for my OWN pleasure and no one else’s (even though constructive crit is always appreciated and I have things to work on!) since I was 12 years old and entered state level writing competitions. Marry that with my total obsession with psychology and sociology/anthropology and you get my love for fandom writing. 

ALSO I make myself very emotional when I write? Like I use specific music and wait until IRL I am in a specific mood to write a specific character. I never ever force it.  I very much “method act” when I write rp.  Like I try to become the character, in their headspace, for the time that I’m typing. It’s actually exhausting???? lol.

But your characterization is beautiful and mine is too emotional and "soft" and you have SUCH a great vocabulary and I'm working on my Associates in English and history. I have written fanfiction for over ten years now. I am still potato.

//YOU ARE MUCH YOUNGER THAN ME. Associates is the same as my SECOND year in college out of like....TWELVE? lmAO. And at that point I’d been writing fanfic about that long too. I promise, you are doing great. <3 

Your Master IS on the gentler side, but I thought that was your whole goal: to show him softened by positive life experiences that gave him a chance at being a better person, yes?  

I am a word whore haha, i just love vocab.  Most important thing, though? Putting the words where they belong. A long  fancy word can be wrong and awkward in a specific writing scenario, and perfect in another. I’d worry more about honing that skill than being a walking thesaurus.  And you’re already good at that. Your prose is never jarring or convoluted.

Favorite thing? That's a hard one, there's so many good things between Bruce and Five. I think perhaps the fact that they don't have to hide around the other, having hidden for most of their life in one way or another.

How can Isummarize better than: THIS. Indeed,the Doctor is most opened with Bruce than he is towards the Master concerninghis overall feelings, his pain, how bad he dealing with things (towards theMaster, the Doctor trying to keep a face who failed 60%/70% of the time and bring 99% old wounds  — associated to a worry of the Doctor his frienduse it against him).

And, he encouragesBruce to don’t boiled things out as he does (not upon everything, of course,privacy exist) and talked when the need in here or when he feels something iswrong…or just because it’s appear inside the conversation. Which encourage theDoctor to carry on.

I alsoagree it’s avoid the Doctor to hide himself behind another ‘responsibilities’ Imust say for have a self-status of mentor towards Bruce :p Alright, they arefriends, alright they are lover but the Doctor is totally aware of theemotional consequences the Master had given to his son and he is like the only person can help him to move on from it, taking also the roleof ‘father’ most indirectly and most ‘sweetly’ (I mean, Five is rude when he expose the harsh reality)than he do with others people (I thinking about his job when he scolding people frankly xD).  

And thisallow to these two to growing up each other, the Doctor learning from Bruceabout lot of things while he keeping ‘in track’ in a caring way the emotionalimprovement of Bruce. Let’s theDoctor continue to show how adorable, caring, emotional (in a good way) man heis 8D
