I've been over-using 'lied' as a dialogue tag in this chapter I'm currently writing, but in my defense, it's really funny.

I know that "Don't make characters constantly refer to one another by name in dialogue!" is basic writing advice, but you see, these two characters just really like saying one another's name.

I'd like to finish my evil fox spirit WIP by August, since I'm definitely not going to have time to work on it once I'm back in school, but my motivation is still pretty low. So that's frustrating.

#I have six chapters left and they're exciting ones #but that's also a quarter of the fic y'know?#I think I am going to re-watch Guanyin Temple because that will help get the Xiyao juices flowing #and then I'll try to write the chapters and hope that I'm actually given the personal space to do so #I might write them all at once then release them weekly since then I can edit as needed #I also need to write the second chapter of Clarity but I'm less stressed about that #anyway this post is just me trying to convince myself to get off my ass #ivywritesstuff~

It's an AU where JGY is part fox spirit. Because of his unique talents, he's allowed to stay in Golden Carp Tower...as an assassin/spy. A lot of the original plot of MDZS remains the same, while JGY experiences some unique and unprecedented forms of misery. Xiyao happens! People die! JGY is angsty! Wei Wuxian is also there!
