Sentence starters: “You’re amazing.” for Snow, and “You are shaking.” fooor... Ivy. Go.
“You’re amazing.”
Snow couldn’t help but scoff quietly, disagreeing with Danny’s sentiment despite how tired and uncomfortable she felt. She looked away from him, their newborn twins swaddled in his arms, and closed her eyes. “I’m not,” she spoke slowly, her voice groggy, and just barely above a whisper. “I didn’t even do anything.” Sure, she’d given life to two beautiful, healthy babies, but… It wasn’t as if she’d pushed with all her might and screamed and cried and gone through all the pain plenty of other mothers had to, to give birth to their children. All she’d done was lie there whilst the doctor operated and pulled their son and daughter out into the world – a choice that she tried, at all costs, to avoid. She’d wanted nothing more than to deliver the twins naturally. That would have been amazing.
“You are shaking.”
Clyde looked at her, that fucking ridiculous smirk on his lips that often came about after a tumble in the sheets. She didn’t even need to turn to look at him, on his side next to her, watching her. Ivy could feel him smirking. She wanted to slap it right off his face because she knew – she knew what that smirk was for: fucking her so right and so good. Taking a deep breath, her chest falling quickly as she exhaled an irritated sigh, Ivy turned her head finally to look upon the idiot beside her. “That’s ‘cause your air conditioning and heating is fuckin’ shitty. The insulation in here’s fuckin’ shitty. It’s freezin’. You got money to throw on new shoes, but you can’t get the temperature fixed? If I’m sleepin’ over, you don’t get the blankets, asshole.”
