Good Saturday Evening ALL! Tonight I performed a special mix to begin a musical conversation about how SOME people are treated around the world! There has been so much violence over the past few years and a lot of it directed at people who look like ME! It’s not easy waking up everyday having to prove that you are or aren’t the person that people think you are. Mostly based on ignorance (lack of knowledge) and little desire to want to know anything different than what we know already! There isn’t too much that can be said or even done right now. There is a feeling of hopelessness and anxiety that some people are glad to see this racist behavior and sentiments play out, as they feel that their only advantage is to deem “other people” as less than or somehow inferior. This has got to STOP! It MUST STOP! Hopefully the music that was played tonight will be the catalyst for some to think and some to act! As a MAN....
