And when your a survivor you don’t feel strong while you weather the storm someone else brought upon you, you dream about a life where you aren’t forced to fight in the first place. But once you weather that storm you realize all things they tried to steal from you, they will never steal. They might have one the first fight, but you won the war. They thought they could leave you with scars that would always remind you of them but instead there scars only remind you of your strength. 💜Everyday as a survivor of sexual and domestic violence I look at my scars and am proud... because I chose to live for myself over living in the shadow of a man who tried to break me down.
