brooooo, genuinely it sucks so bad that the way they have spartans "repress" their emotions in the halo show is just a hornone pellet or whatever, cuz like, its such an easy way out on character development, it leaves the characters feeling so flat when like "oooooh theyre so emotional now" but they clearly had emotjons before and now theyre just... morer, its so cheap and empty of any of the nuance and room for critique of the type of self suppression thats being extremified here to make a point, and the specific way the characters are complicit in their own dehumanization and weaponization without even knowing it, like grgrgrgrgrgrgrrrrr MAD
