I Want My Cake and I Want to Eat It Too || Self Para
Her real name was Lauren Biels. Although, in all honesty, even that wasn't it. She was born Magdalena Cellini in the year 1389. But where was the fun in being that girl? There wasn’t; not tonight. No, tonight she was someone else entirely. In fact, she had been this someone else for two and a half months. The year was 2013, she was twenty-two year old Natasha Blake, and in a “relationship” with twenty-six year old trust fund baby, Max Carlisle. The pair had taken a liking to each other ever since Lauren had showed up in the Hamptons in April and they struck up a conversation at the local bakery. He was handsome enough for her and certainly well-off, but best of all, he was human.
Would you be mine? Would you be my baby tonight? Could be kissing my fruit punch lips in the bright sunshine 'Cause I like you quite a lot, everything you got, don't you know? It's you that I adore, though I make the boys fall like dominoes
In just a mere month, Lauren had Max convinced he was falling in love. And tonight, she and her blonde hair, blue-eyed American dream were dancing the night away under the fairy lights strung above his patio. In the expanse of his backyard that resembled more a Polo field than a simple extension of his mansion, the couple was lost in a crowd of aristocrats. Although, one glance at them and everyone knew who the hosts of this event were. Max and Natasha certainly made a breathtakingly beautiful couple; jealously practically seethed from the eyes of Max’s friends any place the pair had gone together. Lauren had been feeding on his soul for two months and while he was once like a drug she couldn’t beat the addition of, the rush was waning and lately, she was growing hungrier more and more often.
I could be yours, I could be your baby tonight Topple you down from your sky forty stories high Shining like a God, can't believe I got you and so Look at what I bought, not a second thought, oh, Romeo
As Max dipped his one true love to the bridge of the song playing, Lauren suddenly felt a sensation wash over her. It was as though she was being pulled south. On her feet again, she looked Max in his shallow, pool-like eyes. The past few months had been exciting but, Lauren hadn’t felt something so strong pulsate through her veins in such a long time. The only explanation had to deal with something supernatural and Lauren knew curiosity would only get the better of her. As the final cadences of the song filling the warm spring air played out, Lauren made her decision and ran a plan quickly through her head. If I leave at four in the morning, I can catch the Jitney around four forty and reach Manhattan around nine or ten. Boy... you’ve been a lovely host, Max but I'm afraid Natasha Blake will only become a figment of your imagination after tonight.
I want my cake and I want to eat it too I want to have fun and be in love with you
But Lauren wasn’t in love with Max Carlisle. She was in love with change and obsessed with the thought of being able to pick up and leave whenever she pleased. Maddox, Pennsylvania happened to be her next stop and she wasn’t going to look back.
