The Never Star
He did not want to disregard Neverland. He never intended to. But perhaps when he exchanged his father's expensive, legacy jewelry for the hand of a wife and a firstborn—that one ring he so proudly and sadly had given to him—the Never Star did not like that, and the deal was broken. Or perhaps the Never Star did like it, more than it should've.
So when a ship thrice the size of his home hovered above, with his wife frozen in fear and confusion, he knew the Never Star had sent his own offering back to him. Of course. He should've known the blessing would not go unanswered.
