Everything was chaos, and she didn’t know where her brother was. Didn’t know if he was off in the sky, or if he was still on base. She didn’t let herself think about the worst option. That he was dead somewhere. That she’d lost her one true lifeline.
She couldn’t focus on the negative, even though it surrounded her like smoke.
She needed to do something -- even though she knew she should be waiting, should be waiting until someone showed up with information. But she needed to help. So Callista began to make her way around the camp again, trying to keep out of the way of those running around. Not paying as much attention as she probably should have.
Then she ran -- quite literally -- into somebody, and looked up.
“Isaac?” She said, eyebrows raised as she recognized the man. “I -- I’m sorry.” She backed up, and looked around her.
