jeffrey vincent, son of nike:
born to humble beginnings, in a suburb of milwaukee, jeff was a hometown hero. from a young age he was revered for his athletic prowess and good spirits, always on some sports team or another, ready to lead his teammates to victory. his home life was always something to run from, too many siblings and parents who were too wrapped up in their own misery to care, so sports and his social life were his lifeline, his way out.
he never had anyone to look for in the stands, so he made sure to accomplish things for himself and create his own kind of family out in the world, with his friends.
by the time it came to make serious adult decisions, it became clear that despite being an all around excellent athlete, baseball was his true calling. he could pitch like no other, striking out batters with ease. he got a full ride to play collegiate baseball, and then played in the minor leagues for a while. he was being eyed for the major leagues but his girlfriend, the love of his life he'd dated since high school, became pregnant with their first kid.
jeff's biggest aspiration was never to be a major league player, it was to have his own family, so he put away his baseball career to be a family man. he retired from the league and settled down with coaching jobs, content to be at home as much possible.
jeff went on to marry his high school sweetheart, and they had two more kids, capping out at three. his life was a happy one, full of contentment, until his wife became sick. most of their kids were fairly young when he lost his wife to illness, and it shook their world upside down. he wasn't sure how he would be able to continue on his own, raising his kids as a single father, but he carried on to the best of his ability. everything he does, he does to the best of his ability with full vigor. even if he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he has heart.
about five years ago jeff learned of his godly parentage and that was like another lifeline being offered to him and his little family. they could start fresh, have a change of scenery away from old memories. he's integrated into the community on the isle of olympus wholeheartedly, after all it takes a village...
jeff's lust for life, and competitive spark have lit up like never before being with his godly brethren. he's always looking forward to the next adventure life has to toss his way.
