FORTY-FOUR | JAISY
Jordan was hanging around waiting for a his partner to be discharged from the hospital. Nothing excited him more than having his best friend back in action. However, he had been at the hospital all day and he was growing bored and impatient. At this point, he knew just about everyone who worked the emergency department, having wandered down there to see who was working the shift, see what was happening. He was nosy by trade. Walking up on the vending machine, he leaned against it with a grin. “Doctor Daisy,” he whistled, “they let you out of the basement? I’m impressed.”
The SWAT officer had no problems being forward. It came with the job title. When it came to Daisy, they didn’t see each other too often, but often enough to know each other. “How about instead of those chips you let me take you out to dinner tonight?”
