The difference between The Mermaid Mask Demo & The Mermaid's Tongue Demo
[In case you forgot or don't know; The Mermaid's Tongue was the original title for The Mermaid Mask (reason why it was changed is yet to be known, we'll likely know in the Art Gallery after the full game's release.) In this post; I'll bring up the differences the updated demo has compared to the old demo.
And just a heads up: I didn't want to repeatedly type The Mermaid Mask & The Mermaid's Tongue so here's my abbreviation for them: TMM and TM'sT. ]
-----------------------------------------------------
There was no Art Gallery in TM'sT
The page that talks about J.D. Wirman's life (I don't know what that type of page is called) has text changed in TMM (though I personally find it a bit funny how the page design still has the original text.)
Sally got new animations: 2 for the Stonetop Inn, 1 for the Town Square and 1 added for the submarine fore deck
Upon entering the submarine, Grimoire hears ghastly sounds in TMM
After our introduction to the "HER" painting, Grimior & Sally doesn't mention that the painting smells like soil anymore (I wonder why that was removed?)
The vitamin D tablets bottle don't have the garlic drawing anymore. (According to Art Gallery, there was a rumour that Mortuga was a vampire. That rumour is likely not part of the game's story anymore if they added that trivia in the demo)
The poster for the Stargazing Girl is now upside down, according to one of the Vian brothers, it's important to the plot (oooooooooo!!)
The torn sail doesn't have the foorprints anymore
Sally doesn't straight away say the stool in the crime scene looks like the stools from the Inn, there's now an added game mechanic (did I use that right?) that let's you figure it out yourself
-----------------------------------------------------
These are all from memory, so if there are a few that I missed, I'll be sure to add them.
EDIT:
