Hey Chelsea and Jac! I heard something filmed on GG is a fake out! We can be sure it's not the CB wedding. Having the Harry Winston ring around for 4 seasons, having them film for 2 days in the same outfits, and hiring a kid who looks just like Chuck to walk around looking like Chuck is a little much for a fake out, don't you think? My money is on the Dan and Serena wedding! Fingers crossed!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I'VE BEEN A GOOD GIRL LET THIS BE TRUE.
I agree, I doubt it would be the CB wedding, and for Tati's sake I sure hope that it's not haha. The DS wedding makes the least sense, so YES PLEASE BE A FAKEOUT. It would make me and Chels the happiest people ever.
Chelsea and Jac, this is Nina. And I'm hugging you both right now. Serenate is still the better option. Love ,Nina
NINAAAA, I LOVE YOU. Thank you :)
We're drowning in a pool of our own tears now, but we appreciate the virtual hug for sure.
GoT Girlsss, please!
I second this motion! ;) Now I just need to finish the book series...
wtf?? Serena was Nate's first love? No. It's simply untrue.
No, it's actually very true, canonically speaking. Nate loved Serena since he was really young. Yes, he loved Blair too, but it's been pretty clearly established that he always wanted Serena and loved her more than he did Blair.
Obviously when they dated in s3 he had "loved" other girls before that, but he loved Serena first even before the show started. Personally, I believe Nate has never loved anyone like he loved Serena. He cared about Blair, but Serena has been the one consistent love of his life.
It's even more clear in the GG books, although I know the show has gone far from that track. However, the first season in particular did go along with the idea that Nate loved Serena and pined for her for years before we ever met the characters.
So yes, Serena WAS Nate's first love.
The problem with Serena and Nate is that she hasn't any expressed romantic feelings for him in over a season and a half and even then, she chose Dan over him. I don't want Nate to end up with Serena because he has never and probably will never be her first choice the way Dan has been all along.
Okay, granted, Serena is occasionally the WORST. But when it comes to who is best for her, Nate is it. Is she the best for him? It's debatable. I think that Serena often lets herself be driven by fear of the unknown, and she goes with the safe choice. She is insecure deep down, and I think she sometimes craves Dan and his view of her as this perfect person. With Nate, she is completely exposed. He knows everything about her, and although he loves her for all of it, the thought of being with someone like that probably scares the hell out of her. I don't think Dan has always been her "first choice" just because she chose him over Nate once. I think that if she is to truly let herself be happy, she'll find that Nate is the one who she really needs.
Just saying, I may be completely off-- but I think that Nate would be happiest with her, considering she clearly has been shown to be the only girl he has honestly loved. I think that they would be the healthiest choice for Serena by far, and Nate would definitely get over being "second choice" if she came to her senses and realized she loves him and wants to be with him.
I've always felt Dan and Serena they were meant to be together and that non-douchebag Dan brought out the best in her. I still feel that way, despite what a total asshole he was to her in S5, and I was just wondering if you'd ever be okay with them as a couple if he were to make amends for the way he treated her.
No, no, no. An emphatic NO. (And okay, this is just one of our opinions-- although I know Chels would probably agree..)
I don't think Dan brings out the best in her, I think Dan tries to change her, and Serena damn near kills herself trying to be the person he thinks she is. She can't live on that pedestal forever, she will always disappoint him, so they can't work as a couple. I think he was a bit of an ass to her in every season, not just season 5, so I can't see a way that their relationship would be okay with me.
Even if he did make amends, which honestly I don't see happening (they'll probably ignore it and let it slide like every other douche-y thing Dan does), I would not approve of their relationship. He revered her for too long before knowing her, so his perception will always be warped. He doesn't love Serena the person, he loves Serena the idea. The only person who I would be satisfied with is the one person who has always seen Serena for who she is and loved her despite her faults, and that is Nate Archibald.
