Two points off simply because I’ve never agreed with the PJO portrayal of Dionysus

And the beard is confusing me for some fucking reason idk tbh

Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson — 8/10

Something about her lacks the “warm mother” vibe

Idk if it’s just me, but her face looks smoothed over in every clip I’ve seen of her… wtv

Anyway, still not bad because she actually looks like the exhausted mother of a kid with (un)godly ADHD

Timm Sharp as Gabe Ugliano — 7/10

ALMOST a 6/10 tbh

Characters with vague prophecies are so cool

Like Wanda Maximoff’s Scarlet Witch prophecy in the Darkhold is dope or whatever, but it’s generally boring and is ultimately going to be unfulfilling because it’s… too predictable. “She’s going to either destroy or rule the Multiverse” has also gotta be a crock of shit because Chthon, a tyrannical demon god, wrote the damn book and is obviously going to tell people that the vessel of cosmic power he created is going to do precisely what he’s wanted to do since the dawn of time or whatever. It’s boring (to me).

Percy Jackson tho??? The prophecies obviously hint at the future and whatever, but they’re vague as FUCK in terms of the actual person they’re talking about. Like, it’s only implied how much power he has through the Oracle telling ppl he’s gonna to do some dope shit, y’know?

And then he turns around and EXCEEDS the expectations. It’s like “oooh wow a son of Poseidon he controls water and he’s gonna save Olympus” and then it’s “OH FUCK HE CONTROLS ANYTHING THAT HAS WATER IN IT” like are you fucking kidding me???? That scene was cool af too

Anyways, yeah, prophecies that tell you exactly what happens are boring, and prophecies that do nothing but imply that shit’s gonna go down are awesome.
