Jackson took it pretty hard when the shows producer decided not to finish the show because the star had already made his choice. It was his second attempt on a public platform trying to find love. The gossip mags where relentless. Then there was the hate mail from fans saying “stick to pro ball” or calling him a “confused mutt” He wondered with all the skill, talent, money and fame why he still wasn’t happy and so felt alone.
Meet Jackson DeSilva he is hoping to become one of the contestants on @hnn-tr Aman’s Bachelors challenge. Read his interview with Houda Al Fossi below the cut.
Good evening good sims I’m Houda Al Fossi journalist of this pixel land we affectionately call simerverse. I’m here tonight with Pro ball player Jackson DeSilva and once again he is in search of true love.
Houda: Jackson, it’s so wonderful so have you here on my podcast.
Jackson: It’s wonderful to be here Ms. Houda. Your the best there is in this business.
Houda: Aww stop it, you flatter me. So Jacskon, let’s just cut to the chase. You’re attempting to find true love on another reality show? Why go this route again, didn’t the last gig go belly up?
Jackson: Well Ms. Houda, that’s just it… the show never happened after the bachelor (who’s name I won’t mention) was outed for using racial slurs and tweeting problematic things about the lgbtq, the producers pulled the plug. He essentially had been “Cancelled” I obviously dodged a bullet.
Houda: So here we are again, a new show but a little bit of a twist. You and all the other possible contestants have actually already met the eligible Bachelor Aman.
Jackson: Yes, I met Aman while he was touring the campus of my University. I was at Britechester before getting drafted to the pros.
Houda: Oh yes go Dragons. Your mom Hazel Frumple-DeSilva is a professor there right?
Jackson: Well yes and no. She just became the director of the art education department.
Houda: Oh good for her, so back to Aman…
Jackson: Oh yeah, he seemed lost so I asked if I could help point him in the right direction. Well, come to find out the right direction was much more complicated than finding Darby’s Den. He was working through some things and he wasn’t even sure if uni was right for him at that time. Anyway, that’s his story to tell. I ran into him again here in Sulani. Since my coming out to the public, I’ve taken a bit of a sabbatical from the arena and the limelight. I’ve just been trying to figure out the end game for my life. So I’ve been here for almost a year.
Houda: My sources say you’ve been doing a great job doing conservation work with Burn Industries.
Jackson: You have some friends in high places because that information was not publicized. But yes and that’s how I ran into Aman again. He is pretty passionate about the project as well.
Houda: Well that wraps up our time. Would you do me the honor and accompany this old fox to lunch?
Andre DeSilva before my minor adjustments. Andre and Hazelle vanilla style. Then Hazelle got a makeover when I came to PC, freckles and moles, custom eye color, and skin preset. Then I gave her baby Max her haircut. So she went shorter and blonde.
Jackson grew up in a creative house hold. His dad Andre was a song writer and film score composer. His mom Hazelle was an art teacher by day and painter by night. So music and crafts were the fabric of their household. There was only one TV when he was growing up. They encouraged Jackson to use his imagination and go outside play, get dirty and be active. So he read lots of books, did a ton of art and crafts and got involve in sports.
Jackson also spent lots of time with his uncle Theo who is a game developer. His auntie Nina is a fantasy fiction writer. As much as Jackson loved his parents, he really enjoyed the more lavish lifestyle of his aunt and uncle’s house. Plus being an only child all of his childhood he looked forward to playing with his twin cousins Issac and Isabelle.
Jackson actually has a lot of cousins. His grand cousin Daisy, has a son Ade’ Olani that he’d played sports with. So needless to say family gatherings and celebrations were all too important to him. Yet, Jackson always felt like an outsider. Especially once he and a male friend from junior high school kissed under the stairwell behind the boys locker room. He felt bad because he liked it. While his cousins and teammates were spilling the beans on their first kiss with girls, or how one of them got to feel underneath a shirt of a girls blouse. He was giddy inside about a kiss from a boy he had a crush on. Him and his friend kept their secret to themselves. They kissed on and off sometimes while rubbing each others privates over top of their clothes. Then his friend’s dad found a letter he was writing to Jackson and was literally beat within an inch of his life. The boy’s father sent him to live with his grandparents in Windenburg. Jackson never heard from him again.
It wasn’t until his senior year in high school that he had a real sexual experience with another teammate. College is where he really blossomed and began to feel confident in his sexuality. It was a whole new world for him. Kids from all kinds of walks in life. No one cared, that is until he became the university’s star athlete. Then it was “no one needs to know your personal business”. Coaches would tell him to keep that “mess” to yourself. It was then that he knew the higher he climbed the harder it would be to come out. His plan was to come out his junior year but by then pro scouts were already watching him. His senior year he was signed to a 7.3 million simoleon four year contract. That’s not including the money he has made from endorsements. He was supposed to sign for another four years but he’s been off in Sulani for almost one year. Jackson came out on his 21st birthday to his family and then to the world.
His statement in his first bachelor challenge audition. @hnn-tr
Well I’m kind of shy believe it or not. It’s like I have an alter ego. On the field I’m in straight beast mode but off I’m shy and kind of awkward. Not to mention I’m so used to keeping my private life private for obvious reasons. People say they’re progressive until their favorite all Simerican athlete says he’s gay. Then they’re all ready to burn your jersey in the streets. However, I’m at the point in my career and my life where all that really matters is the love of my family and someone I can trust and build with. I’m not playing pro ball forever, I have other interest and investments. Right now I just want to settle down and enjoy real companionship and hopefully true love. I know I know, that sounds corny but I guess your guy is a bit of a hopeless romantic. Oh and yes my dad is Andre DeSilva.
