Home | Olivia & Jacob
Distance.
Separation.
Absence.
They were words Olivia and Jacob knew all too well. Much of their time together after Atlas, before Olivia had completed her RN degree, were spent apart – with Jacob touring and her focusing on school. It had been difficult, painful even, however Olivia firmly believed it had made her and Jacob much stronger as a couple. But this trip, her trip, had felt much different - it had been much harder saying good-bye & being so far away.
Olivia wasn’t the most patient of people but she usually had a knack for pretending to be patient. Today was different. Today patience was not something she had, nor could she pretend to have. The second the plane touched down on the tarmac, she was itching to get out of her seat. Her foot tapped nervously against the hideous blue carpet as she glanced anxiously between the door and the ‘fasten seat belts’ light.
The second the light went off, Olivia was out of her seat and darting quickly down the aisle – utterly unaware of the looks of distain she was getting from the other passengers. Exiting the plane, it took her less than a minute to clear the distance between the gate and the main lobby of the airport. It took her even less time to spot the familiar blonde standing amongst the others in the atrium.
Rushing over, she practically hurled herself into Jacob’s arms.
“I missed you so much!” she exclaimed, her small arms wrapping tightly around his waist.
