The evening seemed to drag on as Porrim wiped down the tables in the cafe, a soft hum in her throat that ended in a sigh. Stepping away from the table she looked over the rest of the cafe, wincing when her feet hurt, complaining after being on them for the entire day now. With no one in the cafe and not foreseeing anyone coming in she decided to relax a touch.
It started with her kicking off her heels before she let her hair down, ruffling it a bit before she picked up her heels, putting them behind the counter. Her stocking clad feet didn’t make a noise as she moved on the hardwood of the store, cleaning the machines now. No reason too keep them up and running when no one would be coming in for a coffee. Not at this time of day anyways.
Porrim might have been proven wrong as the door to the cafe swung open, the bell above it jingling softly with the movement. Without turning from the machine she spoke, tilting her head to speak over her shoulder a bit. “I’ll be there in just a minute hun.”
