Take a break, love, if you must, but I hope you never lose your love for writing. You're one of the most dedicated writers I know. Sometimes the reblogs and the likes don't reflect dedication and talent. I always refer people to your blog b/c you're consistent and imaginative! Take a breather, come back when you can! :)

You made me cry a little... you’re right about the dedication, I really try my best and work hard to made people who read my stories feel what I'm trying to convey with my words, I work hard to translate the best I can.

I had SUCH a great time (I even did a standup comedy routine to the tune of Q&A who would have thought?!) and like I said, I don't cry often, all of it was inside tears but I was so happy that night, like ridiculously happy. Thank you to everyone who helped put it together, who showed up, who performed, to friends and family, my magical "genius" who sits on my shoulder and screams at me, and everyone who has supported me! It was called The Reformation. THE Reformation, capitalized, so it made a statement. A grandiose one, full of strategically staged peace signs, and positive sociopolitical keywords thrown out to the media like bread to pigeons for consumption and mass output.  The decisive affirmation that wormed its way onto posters, signs, daily propaganda was this: “Where there is unity, there is always victory”. This solidifying message declared to those who fell under its veil that there would only be one. Bullshit. In the end there had not been one, but four of them, each named after something peaceful, something to assure the people that this course, this movement, this revolution was one of peace and serenity Bullshit. “The Dove Initiative” was first. It was touted as a fix to the old regime. Not that there was anything intrinsically wrong with the old regime. That was what was always on the minds of the people. There was nothing wrong with the old regime because it was never considered a regime, in the negative way that word lingered on your tongue. Not a regime but a family; they were a family. But to those who followed Theo’s ideology like it was gospel, it was a symbol. A symbol that had to die. The Royal Family had to die.

where can i get your book? will it be up on book depository? ^_^

You know what? I don’t know if it’ll be on book depository, that’s completely up to my publisher :( HOWEVER, I think Amazon ships internationally :), but it won’t come with the free shipping like Book Depository does :(

as far as publishing goes, is the money worth the stress? I write a lot and don't doubt that I could write a book- say one day someone wants to pick it up (or I decide to self publish)?? through your experience, could it be a good source of money esp to pay off things like college debts (sorry if this question is weird but you're the only published author I know T-T)?

As far as the money, I have no idea LMAO! When you get royalty checks you get them quarterly (some companies have other arrangements like monthly, but mine is quarterly) I have no idea what I’m doing in sales, how much I’ve made (because it hasn’t even been a onth since I debuted), and frankly, I kind of don’t care? 

I’m serious. I thought I would be so worried about how much money I’m making but I literally only care about getting this into people’s hands. Right now reviews and people telling me they purchased it has been worth A MILLION BUCKS.

But that’s besides the point. I wouldn’t expect your first...or second or third book to make you enough money to live off of (unless you are just freakishly successful or you are signed by a big lit company that offers you a huge advance). Your royalties aren’t a lot. They range from .40 to maybe 2-3 dollars a book. So for example. You (or your company) set your paperback at 12.99 retail. You’ll net maybe 1.99 - 3.00 per book depending on how they’ve set your royalty percentage up. Then you’ve got to take in that a lot of the bookstores are getting a bigger discount to house your book and some of those books will be given away for free. It’s just...complicated. For your royalty dollars, you’d have to sell A LOT of books for that to mean something to you financially wise. 

So far, writing is still a “hobby” as far as it paying any bills for me (I take it very seriously because I am signed and I would like to write full time but I know I have a ways to go). So far I’ve dished out more than I’ve made (but in the same token, I saved so much because they handled the editors and most of the marketing and ISBNs and of the sort). 

For it to start making enough where you could live off of it (outside of the freakish success) you’d have to be constantly writing. I’m talking maybe 2-3 books a year and have those books be successful. For most people its and uphill battle until they’ve sort of made their own space in the lit world. 

Or again, freakish instant success.
