Tormented Jaded Nights: The Maze
(A/N: The names of the friends aren't their real names as they told me not to use their real names)
Looking around the room I spotted my two friends, Angel and Kasey. The room looked like an ordinary office type of room you see in a mansion. It had a couch, and chairs; a table with three chairs; there was a fireplace as well. There were many drawers. There were two doors and no windows.
We decided to look around the room. As I searched around I found a note on the table that said,
Dear Lindsey, Hello and welcome to your nightmare. This is a maze of your very own creation. Just know your friends and you are not alone. I am always behind you or I am always watching you. I will get you and your friends. Now so you know, there are two keys hidden in the room for both doors. Just know, when you step out either of the doors. The chase begins.~ Sincerely, Mr. Cottontail
'What?' Is all I could think. I told Angel and Kasey about the note and then we started to search. After what felt like a few minutes Angel found one key and Kasey found the other. All three of us decided to open both doors at the same time. Kasey and Angel went to the doors that were for each key. On three they unlocked the doors.
Behind both doors were staircases, the one to the left went up, the one to the right went down. We all looked at each other, nodding. Heading to the stairs that went up. Heading up the stairs we did not know of the danger that laid ahead.
After about half an hour of walking up there came a long hallway, at the end was a door. We walked to the door opening it, on the other side was another hallway, but it was longer. Going in we closed the door behind us, we walked down the hallway towards another door. A soft buzzing sound filled the hallway. Angel, Kasey and I looked down towards where we came from. It sounded like the buzzing was coming from there.
VRMMMMMMMMMM BANG
The door was broken down by a chainsaw and holding the chainsaw was a man, with a deranged smile and rabbit ears. He was slowly making his way towards us, his smile getting bigger every step he took. I looked at Angel and Kasey seeing they were shaking. I nudged them towards the door behind us. They slowly took steps backwards towards the door.
I grabbed the door handle, but it wouldn't open. I looked at Angel, like she was reading my mind she shoved her shoulder into the door. Kasey kept watch as the "man" kept his slow pace towards us, dragging the chainsaw behind him. He started to giggle. I looked at him and realized he was not staring at all the of us, until I made eye contact with him.
I then realized to my horror this was the person who left the note. Angel then grabbed me and pulled Kasey and I through the door. She quickly locked it. We backed away from the door and looked around at our surroundings.
"Let's hide in one of these rooms, quickly before it breaks down the door." Angel says shakily.
Kasey and I nod in agreement. All three of us quickly run into one of the rooms, happy we can lock it from the inside. I look around the room. A gasp leaves my lips and I cover my mouth as tears fill my eyes. The room was covered in pictures of me. Times where I was with my friends and family, even when I'm sleeping and other things. I felt arms wrap around me.
A loud bang and scraping sound startles us. We hold our breaths in anticipation. Slow steps walk down the hall then pauses in front of the room we were in. I could feel the tears roll down my cheeks. Then the steps continued.
All of us let out our breaths. Kasey opened the door and checked down the hallway making sure that the creature was gone. Nodding that the coast was clear we walk out the room and continue down the hall.
After hiding from the monster for about five times. We find a door that is different from all the others. It was a door that I recognized the door. A loud gasp of hopefulness left my lips as we quickly ran to the door. Before I could open the door there was a loud growl.
We looked down the hall and there he stood, Mr. Cottontail. His eyes were filled with lust, anger, greed and insanity. I slammed the door open, Kasey and Angel ran inside, I looked back at him as he started running towards me. I slammed the door shut locking it. I looked around the room. It was my bedroom.
BANG. BANG. BANG. Then silence.
I looked at the door and saw fingers coming from under the door. One of the fingers pointed directly at me then made the come here motion. I started throwing clothes and books. I saw my clothes get dragged under the door. There was a deep sigh and growl. Then a deep inhale.
I froze in fear knowing what he was doing. He was smelling my clothes. A deep shaky exhale left his mouth. "Dearie let me in.~" said a low husky voice.
"N-no. G-go away!" I screamed trying to sound brave, but failing miserably.
"LET. ME. IN. NOW. LINDSEY!!!!!!!!!!!" He stared banging and kicking on the door. The door started to crack and he started to laugh.
"I will get you dearie. Sooner or later.~"
I couldn't breathe. Fear over took me as I fell to the ground covering my ears while silent sobs left me. I just wanted it all to stop. "Y-you aren't real. You aren't real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Then everything went white.
