if i don't hear back from the program by the end of this week i'm going to be. well upset

6. Favorite optional dungeon?

The clocktower in disrepair in Clockbank. I don't want to look up the name because it'll bring up the boss in it and I haven't gone back yet in my replay lol. I just know the vibes were good.

12. Favorite travel banter?

Easy. Osvald final chapter, A Waste Of Time Part III (Osvald and Partitio)

It gave me "I succeeded because I was not alone" which is the thesis of the game... to me... and also just a good line. I love Osvald and Partitio dearly and the way they work together really tickles my brain.

18. A headcanon for [character]?

Not so much a headcanon as how I played initially (which influences the way I perceive the game) but I really like Partitio as my headcanon starting traveler. The only bummer about that is that you never see his little quips for the other starting travelers when they meet up with him for the first time in Oresrush.

24. Did you play the original Octopath Traveler? (And how does it compare?)

I played OT1 in 2021 so thankfully I did not have to wait as long as some folks for the sequel. As for how it compares... OT2 iterates on the whole deal thematically and structurally so it's a better experience overall. I usually recommend people go straight to 2 simply because of quality of life improvements. However, OT1 and the basic formula was what got me hooked in the first place, and Olberic is still my favorite traveler across every game.

#jaerambles #i got into grad school! as an unclassified student FOR NOW so i can ease into it #classes start next semester and i will figure out registration in the coming weeks #i have been. slumping creatively :( mostly because my energy level is very low #i have gathered the ingredients to make a quiche tomorrow and we'll see how it goes!!#this is a big moment because i've been working on like. being more self-sustaining in the ways i can while living with family #i'm gearing up for EVENTUALLY moving out in a SUSTAINABLE way #wegh. eugh. but we'll see.
