The Naboo Renaissance King Jafan I

Jafan was a general and eventual king of the Royal House of the planet Naboo. During the Time of Suffering, a roughly two-century-long civil war between Naboo city-states, General Jafan united the factions through force of will and military strength, ushering in the Great Time of Peace, a golden age for Naboo.

Jafan became the first king of the new era, and in 832 BBY, he directed the construction of the Royal Palace in the newly founded capital city of Theed. The palace was built in the heart of the city in tribute to King Jafan, with a network of streets and plazas stretching out from it. Jafan also built the handcrafted Turret Room and a small temple at the rear of the palace, the latter of which would be used by Naboo's monarchs to pay homage to their predecessors. The palace can be seen behind Jafan on the painting.

it is not know how Jafan looked like, but he was presented as older and wise gentleman. The King ruled during the difficult time, due to that the artist showed him not in royal robes, but in an uniform worn by officers of the Royal Naboo Security Forces and a long cape with the royal crest (the crest is also seen on the column on the right).

Behind him, we can also see a Gungan energy shield and sword of Naboo Royal Security Forces.

The Vague King Jafan III (Legends)

The name 'Jafan III' appears in historic records in two forms - It presents a person, who served as Monarch of Naboo at some point between c. 832 and c. 500 BBY, but also a Naboo passenger starship servicing Legislative Youth Program members during the final years of the Great Peace of the Republic period.

Some even speculate, if the king had ever existed. The artist plays with this idea and shows a man in rich royal clothes next to a Naboo hangar, with a Naboo royal crest on the curtain on the right.
