US Expert says that Jem claiming the responsibility on the Pulwama attack is a negative sign for Pakistan
As per the recent reports the White House has released a statement in which it has asked Pakistan to stop supporting and providing any type of safe haven to the terror groups of all kinds. The statement was released after the Pulwama Attack and strongly condemned the heinous terrorist act.
Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has come up with the claim that the attack in the Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir was their plan set. It was a major terrorist’s attack, one of its kind after Uri attack, which left over 44 militants dead and several critically wounded, this Thursday.
“The United States calls on Pakistan to end immediately the support and safe haven provided to all terrorist groups operating on its soil, whose only goal is to sow chaos, violence, and terror in the region,” Sarah Sanders, the White House Press Secretary released the statement late in the evening.
“This attack only strengthens our resolve to bolster counter terrorism cooperation and coordination between the United States and India,” Sarah added to the statement, which has stern words against the rising terrorism in Pakistan.
Several American experts have come up with their views and many of them say that with the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) taking the responsibility of the attack in Pulwama this Thursday, the speculation about the role of Pakistani spy agency, ISI in the attack is being pondered. The experts further state that it is a failure of the United States, who tried to persuade Pakistan for acting against Jaish-e-Mohammad and other terrorist groups.
“The self-proclaimed involvement of JeM in the attack raises serious questions about the role of the ISI in supporting the masterminds of this operation,” Bruce Riedel, a former CIA analyst, told a news daily.
Riedel further said that Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has major presence in Pakistan and this is the first time that the current Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan will have to face a challenge. “This will be a real challenge for Imran Khan, the first serious challenge of his administration,” he said.
