jiwolf angst arc where hwangmo asks him (jake) to pick up wolf at a bar after a one night stand because wolf isn't taking actually realising his feelings for jake well and he spirals into a full on drug train that leads ro him fucking around but it genuinely does hurt or at least doesn't make him feel the rush as he got figuring with jake, the heat whenever he sees jake stare at him, and the butterflies when jake stays with him through the lonely nights.

Being loved by someone is a privilege and it was something wolf didn't think he himself deserved so he cut Jake off so he can find someone better but it just made everything worse for them and it was everyone's problem because Jake started to get into fights more often while Wolf genuinely spiraled and had his first night ruined because of a stupid decision since he believed that maybe just maybe if he got with someone that looked like Jake but didn't have his gentle soul that it would spark the same fire but it didn't. It didn't. It made it worse. The gaze haunts him as the hands wring his neck because admist the pleasure from the pain there was something else that wolf can't decipher, maybe its becaude of denial, maybe it's because of confusion for something else.

Jake spending his whole night trying to sober up Wolf as he tries to drown out the feelings bubbling up his throat, he thought he would have seen wolf like this at some point but not in these circumstances, never in these circumstances. He wouldn't have wanted that, wouldn't have wanted just a simple fling, just a heat of the moment. That's why it hurt him when Wolf said everything he did for him up until now meant nothing because looking back, when was Jake ever selfish enough to let Wolf fall so deep?

Wolf sobers up and he looks at Jake. He sees the eyes that he missed so dearly that it suffocated him, he expected hatred, disgust, maybe even lust if he was sick enough but despite everything — His ruined appearance, his unruly hair, his tired eyes, he still stared at him with the same love and adoration that made him want to find the heart he threw away someplace and never got to find back. Despite everything, Jake still sees the same wolf he fell in love with and broke his heart.

Wolf just getting angry at Jake - Maybe - Who knows. He doesn't know himself. Is he crying or is he clenching his fist? Is he saying something or is he shouting? Wolf and his toxic choice of words...ah...what a wonderful angsty combo..LMAOOO Jake is tired, so tired of chasing, mending his own heart just to leave it bare for someone who doesn't even know he left his own heart behind, he tells himself its fine, maybe, just maybe it'll come back soon. Looking at him now, it won't be soon. But something needed to change. He doesn't want to lose Wolf, he never wanted to, but he needed time off to collect his own thoughts because he was afraid of hurting wolf himself.
