THINGS HAVE BEEN A LITTLE TENSE IN THE LIN APARTMENT. thea was still kind of annoyed at their brother’s supposed hatred of her best friend, but at the end of the day, he was still her brother. so when she comes home from a shift at the bar to him watching television, thea easily slides into the free spot on the couch. “ what are we watching ? ”

“ CRAZY NIGHT AT THE GALA, HUH ? ” roger comments wryly, taking a sip of his whiskey as he sits across from his friend. “ i’m assuming that none of that was planned ? what’s crazy to me is i’ve never seen crows in the city before. ” because they don’t live there.

“ SO GET THIS : i’m pretty sure evelyn is here with beck tonight, and i just saw beck’s beta robert with talia. ” thea’s not really one for gossip, but when it had to do with other packs, it was hard NOT to be the least bit interested. besides, she had a feeling james would feel some kind of way about it. “ who is talia’s beta ? maybe you should’ve gone with them tonight. y’know, to keep up the trend. ” @jamcslin
“ SO, WHAT’S THE DEAL ABOUT CHRISTMAS ? ” thea asks hesitantly, glancing over at her brother as they walk. she’s trying to keep it casual, but it’s been a question she’s been working the nerve up to ask for the past half hour. “ like, do i have to see them ? am i supposed to get them a gift or something ? ” they all recently attended a wedding together last week, but thea stayed as far away from her parents as possible, and it seemed like they did the same. she’s pretty sure the only thing they said directly to her was from her mother : welcome back. as if she had went on vacation for a week, not disappeared for three years. @jamcslin
