“So you want to try that again? With less hitting me in the face this time?”

“Protego, Rosier. Have you heard of it?”
“Why are you staring at me?”
“I’m not. I’m staring through you.”
Once Lucius was certain that all but one of his guests were properly entertained he snuck out of the hall. He had somewhere to be and it wouldn’t do to leave people wondering where he went while he looked for someone who should be in the room with them, but of course he was the only one who would bother looking for the other.
His steps grew in length as he proceeded, opening all doors in his path, until he was sprinting down the hallway.
Lucius thought about calling on one of the elves for assistance, but the thought of needing help to track down James Rosier in his own home was laughable at best.
Luckily he wouldn’t have to go that far. He found the man he was looking for in a study, examining a cabinet, no doubt planning on what to pilfer.
Lucius would never understand how or why James made it into the Dark Lord’s inner circle. He had never shown particular talent, very strong beliefs in the cause, or a fanatical quasi-suicidal loyalty. Much as Lucius wanted to get rid of mudbloods he wouldn’t have joined the Death Eaters if he didn’t anticipate rewards for his services, if he didn’t expect greatness, and James Rosier was antithetical to greatness.
“Won’t you come back to the party?” The blonde spoke with forced civility. If James was willing to give back anything he’d taken, go back to the main and start acting halfway decent, Lucius would be willing to refrain from hexing him “We’ve been missing you.”

Lyra looked on James with a pitiful expression. A group had just returned from a mission and from what she had heard James had caught the brunt of the damage, despite looking relatively ok. At his comment, she was concerned as to the extent of his injuries.
She drew her wand and began to examine him.

Rodolphus had just walked into his study when a letter on the writing desk caught his attention. He didn’t recognise the brown barn owl sitting on the windowsill that had delivered the piece of paper and the letter had no indication of a sender or recipient either. Rod took it and turned it a few times in his hand, trying to decide what to do with it before he slid his finger between the thin envelope paper, slicing it open. The content fell out onto the desk and he squinted slightly at the photos, staring at them for a few moments before realising what they depicted. The guy in them was a fellow Death Eater but Rod raised his eyebrow at the utter lack of clothing that was unfortunately very obvious.
He first thought about simply throwing them away but then decided to sit down and write a quick reply. Dear Mr Rosier,I am sure that those pictures were not meant for me, even though your owl brought them to my study. I have attached them to this letter, sending them back to you with kind regards. R.
