The instrumental version of this track makes a wonderful battle theme anyway, but this version where the vocal track only runs through the first loop is such a masterpiece I can’t help but prefer it. The lyrics just depict this perfect scene of a sunset-stained battlefield and the instrumentation, the beat, just has an amazing tone with punching snare to pinpoint where each blow is struck.
It doesn’t help that I really do very much enjoy Metal Gear Rising’s soundtrack irregardless of how well it fits.
