Hey I just wanted to say I'm such a huge fan of your work, and you really inspire me. I'm not good at art at all but I really hope to one day have the skills to where I am happy with what I create. What keeps you from giving up? What helps you relax while also not losing motivation?

thank you so much!! <3 I don’t really know what keeps me from giving up tbh because I’ve never felt like I wanted to give up? the only time I felt close to like that was when I first started drawing with a tablet and it was so tricky I thought maybe I just shouldn’t try at all and only stick to traditional art. But I’m really stubborn so I just kept trying and eventually it got easier. So yeah I can’t really say what keeps me from giving up since I’ve never felt that way before 8′)

motivation is different bc I am a fulltime storyboard artist as well as a webcomic creator and just someone who draws for fun a huge chunk of the time, and working on all of those things are really different? of course my job comes first, and there’s been times where my creative energies have been really low and I only have enough of it to do my job and then when I come home all I want to do is play animal crossing and read fanfiction. and when that happens I just let it tbh. it’s unhealthy to force myself to work so much, especially if I’m forcing myself to do it. I always bounce back eventually anyway, so it doesn’t bother me too much. and then with my job I have no choice but to stay motivated so I have no advice for that lol

I am currently working on an original comic, it's my first comic series so it may be terrible. Do you have any advice for keeping to a schedule and coming up with content you like?

HA buddy, you are asking the wrong person LOL 😂

All I can say, giving you advice I really ought to follow myself, is when first starting off, just do whatever amount of work you can do on it every day. You might feel done in a day, or in 7 days, or in 30, but it WILL get done with continuous work. In terms of coming up with stuff you like, you know what you like, my dude. Just do it. What you NEED to do will follow. Above all, know yourself. Don’t push yourself to do something you know you won’t be able to do, such as meeting a daily deadline (like I started off with with my Otayuri comic) or forcing something you’re not comfortable with onto your workload. The worst thing that can happen with any art piece is that you get tried of it or upset by it. Don’t let it go that far.

You’re just starting off, so don’t worry about it so much~ Draw, my friend. Whatever pattern works for you will come with time 😊

I have a question, what type of brushes do you use for your drawings? (I'm assuming you draw in photoshop so if I'm wrong I sorry)

My fam I got some brushes from Kyle my man here, i trust him with my LIFE. I think I bought the ultimate mega pack when he first put it out and it was HELLA cheap (like i bought it for a dollar usd), and I use two brushes from there most of the time. I used the watercolor brushes to do clouds and oh lord they are stunning

hey duder! im so sorry, i feel like i ask soooooo many questions and i bet its really annoying of me. I was wondering if you did video time lapses or video tutorials some where on tumblr or a different social media platform? I look to your art still for inspiration, and i want to learn and practice so that i can make myself the best i can be! Thanks so much!

It’s not annoying at all, don’t worry! 🤗 Well no, I haven’t made any videos like that. My process is p boring and lengthy at times (I can take days to do a simple sketchy pic because i take a lot of breaks and do a lot of things outside of art) so I don’t feel like it would work well for that medium. If I have a really good picture in mind, I might try it out sometime!
