Lucero knew he worked himself to the bone and must’ve had accumulated some pent-up tension that rested entirely on him throughout the day; a little bit of her attention went a long way for what his affection awarded her, so she put on the doting facade that she knew was needed right now. “You got something on your mind, handsome?” Her voice was sweet, a stark contrast to the girl herself.
