Thelma catches her husband and her sister making out in her kitchen. She's not thrilled.
Janet collapses from a cold she caught at work. Thelma pleads for her sister's life, but given that her relationship with her sister was rocky ever since she caught her cheating with her husband, she chooses wrong!
Poor Janet is buried in the backyard.
Thelma is furious to find Benedict at her door after his latest indignity...
... um, Janet?!
Keira is not thrilled that Benedict brought one of his affairs to their sons' birthday party. Melanie isn't thrilled, either, but I think her concerns are more about the general morality of the situation.
Janet is not happy to see her paramour flirting with another woman. You had your chance! Or is it because he's married to your sister?
This is so messy. I love it!
Benedict pops the question to Janet Ingram. Janet, a romance sim, politely declines.
Meet the citizens of Greylings
You know I can't resist yapping about my Sims.
When her friend from university, Norma, died unexpectedly, leaving a young daughter and a farm in the middle of nowhere behind, Keira Porter stepped up to the challenge and decided to carry on Norma's legacy. Together with Norma's trusty farmhand, they make quite the odd little family. But it'll do.
Lindon Abernathy has worked on the farms around Greylings ever since he was a young man. He is known as dependable, experienced and easy-going. His real passion lies in Astronomy, though, and the skies here are ideal for stargazing.
Living with Keira and Lindon is nice, but little Kestrel Leary misses her mom. She spends a significant amount of time out in the fields, "assisting" Keira and Lindon. It's where she feels closest to her mother.
Sisters Thelma and Janet moved to Greylings on job offers, hoping to develop the little settlement into something a bit more... exciting. Thelma teaches Kestrel, while Janet is determined to open up a construction company in the area and become a successful architect.
Magdalena Howell is a bit of a hypochondriac, so many of her peers thought it natural that she'd become a doctor. Moving here on a stipend to ensure medical care in underserved areas, Magdalena hopes to open her own clinic someday.
Magdalena's younger brother, Martin, meanwhile, works for the local government as a scientist. He can be most often found somewhere in the mud around the riverbed, taking samples and ranting on about different species of bugs.
Another low-ranking government official, Benedict Keating was put in charge of the local Communal Services following the death of Norma. He's doing a decent job with the help of the two admins (the garden club ladies). Maybe he'll even make a career of it, who knows? Government housing isn't exactly up to snuff, though, as he is currently stuck in the local fire lookout tower. Oh well...
