The Donati Conspiracy

It appears that the original uploader didn't make a list so I'll put my list here. The Donati Conspiracy is a three part dystopian TV drama written by John Gould who also wrote the equally brilliant scripts for its sequel State of Emergency (which was sadly postponed due to the writer's passing at the time, and when it was finally made, many of original cast were possibly no longer available, so BBC had to recast them).

At start I watched it mainly because of obvious reasons that: 1) I have heard Anthony Valentine did a very amazing job in this show (and which is true, as I've watched three times now!); 2) I like dystopian literature and media, it's really closer to the reality than you usually think, this one was handled rather well, too.

The show was set in an alternative universe which UK is ruled by a fascist government. It's hard to make a direct summary or introduction without much spoiler but I assure anyone who read this post it is worth your while. (every actor in this show did an amazing job, in fact!) I'm really bad at writing summary, so, just enjoy if you find it interesting.

It's actually listed on BFI's website so hopefully the original tape of BBC will come up one day.
