Chloe slowly blinked open and closed, trying desperately to stay awake as her vision finally came into focus. One second she had been driving the float of the parade and the next- as she tried to sit up, she felt something warm and almost wet against the back of her head. Reaching up, she touched her hand in blood. Her eyes finally flying open at the realization that she had hit her head. Turning towards the door of the car she tried to get it open, but the lock was jammed in place and no matter how hard she threw her shoulder against the side of the door, it wouldn’t budge. That was when the smoke started. The gas filling up the front seat, flooding into her lungs as the small blonde banged desperately against the window, screaming for someone, just anyone, to stop and let her out. “Help! Help! Help!” She bounded some more as she fought back the urge to cough. Climbing into the back seat to try to get away from the smoke as she could, banging furiously against the back of the trunk as she screamed some more. “Somebody! Please!” Before she let out another fit of coughs. “Some- somebody,” Her voice broke, with more gas seeping into her lungs with each minute. Her pounding slowing down as she laid down in the back seat. It was all but a light tap as she fought to keep her eyes from falling shut once more. The backseat was spinning around her as she tapped one last time against the windshield. Somebody. Please.
