The recent drama

i have in fact heard about the recent drama going about with jared...i'm not sharing opinions cause we literally know nothing about these people except for what they choose to show. so bashing them and bullying them doesn't feel like the correct way to deal with the situation. i'm not standing up for him but i'm not saying i hate him either because weirdly this man i don't know has been a large part of my happiness for the last 3-4 ish years. yes i'm continuing this series. only because i have started it. i'm not sure i'll be writing much sam fic , but only because it feels wrong in my position as the writer of the fic who has to write for the character. i may write dean , cas etc but maybe not sam at the moment.

i'm keeping out of it for now but please don't make the situation worse or say anything out of line because if he is a genuinely good person , he'll apologise in a good and respectable manner and if we're all good fans we can all move on , if he proves he has genuinely changed we can forget about it, don't go and hate on anyone involved with them either. no families should get the hate. it's unfair on them.

i just also want to add, that, i think some people have been spreading rumours. rather than looking at the facts. i think also some of the stuff resurfacing is old. like people change dude , they apologize and move on. i think we have to take into consideration when stuff was said. what happened and has the person apologized. and if they have in a well rounded manner then maybe it's time we moved on. and if the person hasn't changed. well that still isn't(and never will be) an excuse to hate and be unapologetically rude to them.

i'm not sure what exactly has been said. what happened and how it's come back to light. hell i don't even know if jared has apologized or even if he even did they stuff people are saying and we can't believe that unless we have actual 100% real proof. but if he has it's time we stopped censoring his name , cause that's silly. and also if he has and agreed that he has changed as a person and realised his mistake and corrected it , it's time we looked at something else or make this fandom a damn better place cause i know for one this fandom saved me more times then i deem okay.

again no hate needs to be spread because that helps nobody in the situation and makes YOU look bad and also keep your noses out of peoples lives. they live in the spotlight as it is. i think it's time we change how we act towards celebrities and people in the spotlight

We would like to discuss a trend.

It’s a knee-jerk reaction that happens QUITE frequently with people in general, but with the Supernatural fandom divided the way it is, it’s especially problematic.

People are trending the hashtag #werespectjared. That’s great, hashtag all the love you want.

But don’t do it under false assumptions.

People are spreading lies and rumors that Jared deleted his Wincest-y AKF manip because of hate.

We have yet to see any proof. The FB post got deleted, so we can’t check there unless someone got screencaps.

The instagram post, well, we scoured through as many comments as possible before it got deleted, and saw NONE.

The Twitter post, we checked his mentions after its deletion, and also saw N.O.N.E.

So, can anyone point us to proof, other than “Well, I heard from a friend”?

Because we find it VERY interesting that many of the “respect Jared” people were the SAME people calling the YANA campaign pandering to shippers, and that it was gross and disrespectful, and we have ACTUAL SCREENCAPS of the hate and disrespect being thrown at both Jensen and Misha on the daily.

So, back to the discussion of the trend. People have this tendency to start rumors, and spread false info. People, instead of checking for facts, take it and run with it. It gets wound up into this whole THING, and becomes a mess. 

Like SunsetGate. People who hate the friendship between Jensen and Misha started throwing some SEVERE disrespect against Jensen, and calling for people to ask him sexually harassing and explicit shipping questions to him at the next con. OVER A PHOTO.

Who got blamed for it? The Destiel shippers. 

Or LubeGate, where one person suggested to Astroglide that the company send a giftbasket at SDCC. The haters ran with it, and the next thing you knew, Destiel shippers were being shamed, blamed of wanting to THROW LUBE AT THE ACTORS when it was ONE PERSON who mentioned the company sending a. Gift. Basket...

And I hate to actually defend this person, but the most recent thing with the screencap of the fans threatening violence to Misha/other fans, and it was accidentally accredited to Kelios, and THAT started spreading.

And now we have the AKF shippy manip deletion, that is once again causing knee-jerk reactions, and people slinging accusations.

There’s a reason Destiel and Cockles shippers, as well as Misha supporters, collect receipts like trading cards now. Because we’re CONSTANTLY accused of doing shit we didn’t do, all while being crapped on by people that hate us because of our ships, or because we like Misha. Not to mention all the BLATANT Misha hate that flows like water in the small, dark corner of this fandom that thinks it’s bigger than it really is.

So SHOW US SOME RECEIPTS or shut the HELL up.

So here’s the deal:

If you want us to believe Jared is getting hate, in any way shape or form, you need to give us receipts from now on.  Otherwise I, if not my fellow mods, are going to call you a bullshitter.  That’s just how it’s going to go.  Why, you ask?

Because NO ONE ever actually has evidence or receipts that hate is occurring against Jared.  And yet, according to fandom, Jared is “the most hated” of all the SPN boys.  Why?  Because people say that he is, and so y’all just...believe it?  WHY?  Why are you believing people that literally lie and redirect and backtrack constantly about their own statements and positions?

You want to know why people are trying to spread that Jared got hated on?  Because haters KNOW that their “Misha used a ship to pander for his YANA shirts” was absolutely hypocritical of them - this isn’t the first time Jared posted that meme people.  He did it a long time ago too.  The haters KNOW flat out that they are hypocrites, and Jared’s recent posting of that meme is directly threatening to their image, because they have to either A:  call him out like they called Misha out, or B: admit they are hypocrites and they don’t care that Jared’s doing it cause they like Wincest or like Jared best.

So what do they do?  They create a DIFFERENT scenario that they can focus on so that attention is deflected AWAY from the fact that they are HYPOCRITES.  They create this supposed wank - that Jared got hated on - so that they have something to righteously condemn and get people rallied up about.  Because when they do that?  No one is actually thinking anymore about their hypocritical bullshit, they’re focused on poor Jared’s supposed haters.  Who don’t exist and never did.

Guys, this is really simple.  It’s really easy to see what’s going on here.  Stop buying into the lies.  It’s not a lot of work to check your facts.  There’s no hate being conducted against Jared for his meme.  Now, are people using the posting of his meme to CALL OUT the hypocrites?  Absolutely, and with good reason.  That does not constitute hate against Jared and for anyone to try to spin it that way is blatantly acting with false and hypocritical motives.

That’s that.  Enough is enough people.  Stop letting them deflect your attention.  Stop letting them change the goalposts on you.  Refuse to let them shy away from responsibility.  Focus on them.  Because they are at the heart of it all, and they are the true problem here.  Not nonexistent Jared hate.

personally, I think that he shouldn’t have made the tweet saying that because the PSH was an overall a g9 person who had a problem (and he tried to fix it) But yet again that was his opinion and if he thinks that, its fine but he should have kept it to himself other than sharing it with four million people.
