The gym officially closed before dark. Even when the seasons changed and the days shortened, it just felt safer to keep her employees safe. The humans that she continually harbored an envy for despite their painful fragility... no it was better that they had less access to the gym than there being.... accidents. That said, the gym was always open for her friends. And those that did better around fewer people of course.
Sitting on a padded mat with her legs easily folded beneath her, Mal looked up at Jasim. "You want to try that 14 minus again?" In her old life, most climbing gyms didn't go above a 12. Nature had significantly harder problems of course but they could get away with it in there. The specially designed walls that crawled up over the roof of the gym with the barest of holds were off limits unless Mal gave permission. There was enough darkness in the town. "
