Hey, so I'm a first year animator student, who just happens to love your Harry Potter stories, and I was wondering... If I could have your permission to use Nizar Hariwalt Case de Deslizarse for my Character Design class. The objective of the project is to take a character from a story (of any kind), and to use their story description to make a T.V. Show design (Concept art) for them. I would love to use Nizar for this assignment, but I would only do so will your permission.

Will you have Rasputin (Your blog that is), in any way cover Siva (from the Rise of Iron Expansion)?

( Ah ! As in an IC or OOC manner or both ? )

( OOC wise, I don’t really have much to say just because it still has me thinking and curious and while parts of it seem obvious, it’s classic Bungie to keep half of it in the dark )

( Which is why, IC wise I’m still trying to debate how I want to play out Rasputin’s part )

( I def feel like he doesn’t have a strong opinion on the Iron Lords, though it’s up to those that RP them how they might see him given what he did; however, it feels like Bungie is trying to hint that Rasputin might be infected by SIVA if not controlled by it and honestly if that is the case I will be very disappointed in them )

( if he is infected and we end up saving him, very well ; however, being controlled by it is another matter entirely and very sloppy story writing that they should be ashamed of by far ; I say this bc Rasputin has been shown in his Cards to be sentient and self aware, capable of some aspect of emotion as well as possessing a poetic internal thought process ; he even has personality and shows sign of mental illness ; in his Cards before ROI, it is never hinted he is infected or controlled by SIVA (and no, his mental illness doesn’t count ; that would not only be sloppy writing, but absolutely, disgustingly offensive; but that’s a whole other can of worms ) )

( in his recent Card, the one where he wakes up and attacks the Iron Lords, it sorta does show SIVA signs and it makes no sense given the most of the other Cards come after this one in the chronological order of things )

( after Rasputin activates SIVA to help dispose of the Iron Lords there is this line in his report: REPLICATE. ELIMINATE. IMMUNIZE. )

( this line goes along p well w the descriptions seen in SIVA items; kinda like it’s overall tag line actually )

( not sure if it is just that, a tag line, that Rasputin attached to it and used or if there is some other more obvious, stop-being-so-deep-about-it reason for it, but I hope there is and not some hint that the Warmind is controlled in preforming the action of using SIVA as a weapon bc again that is incredibly sloppy writing )

( infected Rasputin would be a lesser of two evils ; he could easily be fighting it’s control and given how complicated Rasputin is ( keep in mind, even the Vex fail to predict or understand him ) it can be said he’s doing a damn fine job of keeping it at bay until we have to go help ; but I say this is a lesser of two evils bc where was the hints leading up to this besides the ones shoved hastily into the most recent DLC ? )

( it still wouldn’t make sense to me at all for SIVA to have some play on Rasputin himself ; not unless it happened this DLC and/or later in the year and even so I wouldn’t know why Bungie would get rid of a character of his importance up so readily when there is so much about him and the Warminds still left to explore )

( honestly I could go more into this and at a deeper, here-are-my-refs sort of way, but I don’t feel like this was really the answer you were looking for and I just talked your head off aha )

( tl;dr I guess : I don’t know how to incorporate SIVA into my blog just yet ; the hints that Rasputin and/or the Warminds and SIVA are tied are there, but are so hastily thrown in that until it is confirmed by any means what they mean, Rasputin is neither infected nor controlled ; his opinions on it are another subject entirely and until confirmation, or lack of, any threads of him being controlled or infected are of their own AU verse )
