Road Trip!AU; Our characters go on a road trip,there’s a lot of laughter and fun and sightseeing and also a lot of trouble along the way.
She double checks the things in her bags and makes sure she has the sufficient amount of clothes and other necessities with her. 80% of her wants to postpone the trip --- because really, how on earth did she get stuck with Derek? It was a group thing and they were all supposed to rent a vehicle big enough for everyone.
But plans came and parents decided for themselves and Cora told Derek she'd rather die than be stuck with her -- which is fine with her because the feeling is mutual. So it came down to just Lydia and Derek, and though they both objected to the idea of being together in one car and just being together, Scott and company pushed them to go through with the plan --- says it's some kind of bonding for the two of them. And because Lydia isn't one to give up, she agrees expecting Derek to back out. But it turns out both of them are more stubborn than they think they are.
She drags her bags to her car and immediately drives to his place. Still hoping he would back out at the last minute. When she finally sees him, ready and all that. She rolls the window down and yells to him. "Get in loser, we're going for a ride."
