okay so I maybe got a little re-obsessed with Deltora Quest? Only a little I promise (I'm actively trying not to pick up the books).

This is a Jasmine design from @deltoravivisection (complete with a Kree) and I am IN LOVE WITH HER. ALL OF THEM. I CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER HYPERFIXATION RIGHT NOW PLEASE.

Anyway as usual tumblr fucked up my quality, but hey nothing new.

Jasmine’s introduction, first of all, is indeed iconic. But what’s funnier in my opinion is that literally all of the guards who know next to nothing about her just see her as a “wild girl witch.” In reality, she could kick your butt without any witchcraft in hand.

Once again, amazing designs go to @transhitman for their Deltora Vivisection project!

I'm still figuring out how tf I make my pictures better quality for tumblr but I guess we'll never know.

I love Doom so much and my people who fuck with Return to Del pages 103+ should know what's gonna come next.

I’ve noticed there’s a sad lack of Deltora Quest fanart around, so I figured I should just do some! I decided I’d start with Jasmine since I always had the clearest image of her, and frankly feral girl living in the woods with animal friends was like my childhood aesthetic. I made Filli a tiny possum, since that’s how I’d always imagined him. (Also Jasmine’s hair is browner than I meant it to be but oops never mind.)

I absolutely LOVED these books as a kid, even if they did occasionally give me nightmares. I mean, there’s so many horrifying moments, like a giant disgusting slug that encases people in hard saliva and drinks their innards? Horrible riddle monsters that bite off a finger every time you answer wrong? These books are labelled for children, Emily why!!? (These are absolutely NOT even the worst things though honestly. You have been warned.)

But in any case, all of Emily Rodda’s books are a fairly quick but engrossing read, and the puzzles were always a fun little challenge. I’d definitely recommend giving them a look jf you’re at all into fantasy!
