Two zombie books
Just wanted to give a quick shout-out to Jason Kristopher. I finished The Dying of the Light: End several weeks ago and just haven't had the time to write a real review.
I liked it. Since I finished it, I have also read The Walking Dead, Rise of the Governor by Robert Kirkman (I got an ARC). Jason's prose is better. I love the Walking Dead, and it's unquestionably one of my favorite shows--it is really the only reason I like zombies at all. But reading Kirkman's book was a bit irksome. There were little writerly foibles that got stuck in my craw. Probably would not bother a casual reader, but they did me.
Jason's just more natural a storyteller. I look forward to the sequel of The Dying of the Light: End.
